“Don’t Rock the Jukebox” written by Alan Jackson, Roger Murrah, and Keith Stegall; and performed by Alan Jackson is one of my favorite country songs. It has such a genuine country sound. I love the twang in Alan’s voice!
I also love how this song is so upbeat, it makes you want to dance, but it is also about a broken heart which we can all relate to! Even a tune with a sad theme becomes fun with the awesome upbeat sound of the steel guitar! Play this at a party, club or barbecue for some fun dancing for all!
I have also used the soothing tunes of country to ease a broken heart so I love when Alan sings “Ain’t nothing like a steel guitar to drown a memory!”
I also like how “Don’t Rock the Jukebox” means “play country, not rock.” Don’t get me wrong, I love rock and roll as much as the next person, but let’s face it, if I have to choose, it’s country every time! ” Don’t Rock the Jukebox! Play me a country song!”
