“Mark Nesler and Tony Martin and performed by Tim McGraw hit my heart the first time I ever heard it, and still does. It is so relatable to be so in love with someone that you would do anything for them, and you do, only to lose them.
It is also clear that the man speaking in the story of this song is so kind and caring, that he still loves her, despite losing her and another man stepping in. He holds no anger, only sadness. He still cares about her well being-that’s the kind of man all ladies want – at least I think so. That’s the irony of this song!
The way Tim sings is soothing, and I think many women can relax to the sound of his voice. The guitar in this song has a nice country feel. If you haven’t listened to Tim McGraw, this is a great song to start with and will likely peak your curiosity about some of Tim McGraw’s other gems.
